The Wandered World is a platform to feature the most stunning travel content from around the world. Its mission “to keep the wander alive and inspire everyone to do and see more in this world” is maintained by sharing unique destinations to inspire travellers, tips and advice for the adventure itself, and acting as a hub of shared experiences.
With a large following and aspirations to consistently cultivate and grow opportunities inside their community, The Wandered World brought us on to create a website, manage lead generation, and generate more collaboration & cross-promotion opportunities with photography and videography, and travel alongside many other industries.
The symbol, a silhouette of a hiker overlaid over simple graphics of mountains, relays the content and niche of the brand but doesn’t pull from the content itself. It’s memorable but not distracting next to the main focus and story, informed through The Wandered World’s content.
In creating the website, we focused on a minimal layout. With a simple parallax scrolling design and minimal graphics, the decision to use swooping, elegant Voyage font for text headings is accentuated. We authored website text succinctly: pointing to the mission, intention, and further action, then centring in on opportunities to collaborate in ways that are personal and meaningful.
Further, at the end of the seamless parallax scrolling journey, feed photos from their Instagram are showcased. This is one of the most saturated & colorful elements of the site itself, enticing an audience to travel from their site to their Instagram, the main engagement platform.
